I KNOW HOW YOU FEEL I WAS A NANNY FOR MANY YEARS AND WAS FACED WITH THIS TOO.

FIRST OF ALL FORGET THE SOAPY WATER IT DOES NOT WORK!!!!

THIS IS WHAT I DID IN THIS ORDER

1. CLEAN ANY SPOTS WITH CARPET CLEANER THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING

2. SPRAY WITH LOTS OF LYSOL TO KILL ALL THE GERMS AND IT HELPS WITH SOME SMELL

3. WHEN THE MATTRESS IS DRY SPRAY WITH FABREEZE DEEP CLEAN OR WHAT EVER KIND YOU WANT

THIS WORKED GREAT FOR ME HOPE IT HELPS YOU TOO!!!!
