My daughter attended Riviera Hall Lutheran School. My sister in law had gone there prior to that. The school is utterly fantastic! Kids are motivated to do their work by one another! When my husband and I were divorced, she went to public school 7th grade which was the BIGGEST MISTAKE I ever made! There is a huge difference!

The motivation was lost, there was the wrong type of peer pressure and I saw a very competent girl, my daughter get sucked into the world of the disrespectful to authority, rebellious to the max, no motivation to do school work, it wasn't cool, etc., What she wore was more important than school. It was in short a holy hell nightmare!
She has now graduated (thank God) from high school and tells me she should have stayed in Private school where they had uniforms and it was cool to have the best homework over everyone else. Believe me, the money we have had to spend on clothes, counseling and rehab would have more than paid for the private school. If I could go back I would have NEVER taken her out of private school. Simply put, they had accountability and though we aren't Lutheran she had the 10 commandments! School should be a place to learn!
Signed,
"Been on both sides and all for private school"
