Masterbation is perfectly normal. Your mother may even know that you are doing this. This is a "private" time for you. You need not discuss it with anyone unless you want to. Some boys masterbate at even younger ages. You need not live your life in fear. It feel good to you and you enjoy it. Later in life, you will find that almost all boys and men masterbate..for pleasure, sexual release, stress, tension. etc. Just be careful and not do it so much that it becomes sore and a little uncomfortable.
