Hi. I'm new to the message boards and I just wanted to say that I appreciate your post.
I am the single mother of a 16 mos. old and I know I have a few years before I have to start fielding the "Daddy" questions but it still weighs heavily on my mind. It's good to know that " I don't know" is an acceptable answer. I want to say as little as possible to her about her father since I truly have nothing nice to say. I would like to be as honest as possible with my daughter and hide nothing, so now my biggest concern is, how do I tell her that she has an older half-sister that her father spends time with when he doesn't want anything to do with her?
This is a heartbreaking situation for me and I feel rejected for my daughter, I just want to avoid conveying that feeling to her. Any more suggestions would be welcome.
