ok, this I just have to laugh at. judging by the year in your username (and the level of maturity displayed in your message), I'd guess you're about 12 years old. at this age, yeah, your parents rule your life, and there is nothing you can do about it. and you know what? I totally support them. guess what else: I'm only 18.

1. dress: your prarents probably don't approve of the hoochie-mama look that most girls your age are emploring these days. and I can't blame them! I work in clothing retail, and trust me, I wouldn't let my 12 year old wear half the things we sell these days either! forget that, I wouldn't wear them myself. believe it or not, it's possible to look cute and not scream "SEX OBJECT" to the rest of the world.

2. no PG-13 or R movies: R movies I can understand. they're rated R for a reason: RESTRICTED; meaning it's inappropriate for you. and really, same goes for PG-13, although I don't agree with that one.

3. no boyfriends: I didn't date til I was 13. and waiting even longer can be a good idea. what's probably going on, is that your parents don't approve of the guy you're interested in. so what you do, is you have them meet him. as mortifying as this sounds, it's the only way to get their approval. once they see that he's not such a bad guy, you're home-free.

4. no rap or r&b music: yeah, cuz rap and r&b sux! seriously, that music is horrible. I don't listen to it myself. go pick up some Everclear or something.

well, apparently your parents don't deprive you of everything. you're using a computer, you have the internet, your parents are obviously not monitoring everything you do. you want some advice on how to get them to lighten up? show some maturity. get a newspaper route, babysit, something that proves you can be responsible. then you'll have your own money, you can buy all the hoochie clothes you like and all the rap music you can listen to, and your parents can't say a word.
