AUTHOR: dennlarry | | | Hi there, my name is Sharon and im new to this board as well, only i was looking for somthing a bit diffrent. You see my husband had a vasectomy 5 years ago and ive just found out im PREGNANT!! the reason im replying to your message is because i also have PCO and as a result i havent had a period in over a year, a few months ago my specialist put me on metformin because of my PCO not to help me get pregnant (my husband has had a vasectomy) but to try and help me loose some weight, then recently i discovered this big lump in my belly which i thought was a large cyist, but after a examination from my GP was told there was nothing wrong with me. A week later i could feel it move so i was realy frightened. After telling my sister she convinced me to take a preg_test just to iliminate it.... I did and it was possative can you imagian the shock i have just been through????? another GP has since had a look at me and its confirmed i am six months pregnant!! so i think its down to metformin, even if my husband hadnt had a vasectomy i would have found it hard to get pregnant due to my PCO. BY the way this only happened to me 2 weeks ago, im 33 and my husband of 11yrs is 49 (hense why we didnt want any more kids, we allready have two aged 8 & 10) all i can say though is it is meant to be and we will love it just as much as if it were planed, we look at it as being a miricle, i am due in november so NOT LONG .
