 | I hope that I am not alone, well okay honestly I do, cause its so scary. My 5 year old has a "new" temper, he has always been a sweet, helpful, and awesome child. I think a lot of his misbehavior is due to the fact that I am going to have his sister in about a month. For about 3 weeks now, when he doesn't get his way, he will take off running from me, and his father as well. It is so scary because he runs down the street even with us chasing and screaming after him. I live right behind a major street in our town and he got to it the other day, I am to preg. and slow to catch him. Also tonight he once again didn't get his way and took off in the parking lot, and a car had to slam on his breaks to miss hitting him. I have tried everything, taking things away, grounding him even, I don't think that smacking is the right thing but for once I swatted his bottom, nothing is working, his father and I are at the end of our rope.
