Be EVER so careful about putting steriods on a face, it can lead to a condition later in life called perioral dermatitis, which sounds about the same as what you both have described. I know, because my mom slathered me with it, and now I have it. Tetracycline is the only good cure, and you can't take it pregnant, or nursing, so I suffered for about 10 months with it, using a topical lotion. At least your son won't have that limitation, but it isn't pretty. Try ANY and EVERY thing before resorting to puting any steriods on a face, this includes cortaid, and hydrocortisone. Good luck! |
