SUBJECT: Playing funeral?!?!?!
The other day I walked by the top of the stairs while my 6 and 4 year old were playing with their almost 8 year old cousin downstairs. My 4 year old said she wanted to have her baby's funeral first. I asked them why they would play such a thing and told them to stop and play something "nice." When I told my husband he didn't know why they would play that and I guess he didn't really have an opinion about them playing like that. My mother laughed and said "where did they get that idea." Did I over react? I know that somethings are just normal behavior whether we like them or not but I just don't know why they would play funeral with their dolls. I told them that babies dying isn't nice and they shouldn't even talk like that. They just looked at me like I was crazy and said o.k. They have never been around any body that lost a baby so it really got to me. What do you all think.
