Sounds like colic. Sometimes you won't be able to console him.. but there are some tricks that are passed around. Try laying a blanket on your dryer and placing him on it while it runs with a load in it. The vibration helps... my baby would only calm down when he laid on my stomach and I patted his back in a rythmatic motion. I also made sure to give him Mylecon drops after every feeding.. not exceeding the dose of course. I doubt the circ is hurting him. He just has to find away to comfort himself... and you have to wait it out. It's tough, but they grow out of this stage at the 6-8 week mark.
