| I would list all of my favorites and have my husband list all of his, if there are no matching ones then you name the first name and he can give the middle name. If that doesn't work you may be able to please him by giving the child three names,(Makinly Lillian- Grace) and allowing him to pick one. I have always wanted a unique baby name, but when we seriously started TTC and were looking through name books, I got to thinking of my own strange name. Doni- sounds like Donnie- I went through life with people thinking I was a boy, and every time I give my name to someone over the phone I ALWAYS have to spell it. I had to have personalized things special ordered as a kid, and often wondered why my mother had to be so unique in naming me. If she wanted to name me after my father, there is nothing wrong with Dawn. Anyway Wilma and William were very special to me, but I didn't like those so I picked Willa, and Sadie is my great-grandmother's name and I do like that, and for a boy I like Croix. Just be sure the name flows nicely with your last name, and please think twice about going too unusual.
