My 6 month old daughter has had a problem with consitpation since starting solids, also. My pediatrician tried apple juice, prune juice, and even some prunes mixed in with her cereal. After those didn't provide much relief, she suggested KARO syrup - it works like a charm!! Come to find out that my mother always put it in my formuala as a baby because I had the same problem. I would highly recommend it, and I haven't seen any adverse side effects!!
